Thomas Hart is reelected mayor of Boston.

Hart (R), with 31,133 votes, defeats Owen Galvin (D), with 25,673, and others to be reelected mayor. Hart improves the delivery of city services and the city’s finances. A fiscal conservative, he resists increased spending on parks and opposes the city incurring any more debt.
